<b>WARNING: I'm a bit of an English nerd. </b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b>That's not to say that I'm particularly good as spelling or that I always speak grammatically correct, but I find the language interesting. </b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b><u>* For the lazy: you can just read the bolded and underlined parts, though I think it's all pretty interesting, and since it's summer your brain could probably use a little learning *</u></b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<span id="internal-source-marker_0.42869983054697514"></span><br />
<div dir="ltr" style="margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-align: left; text-indent: 36pt;">
<span style="background-color: transparent; font-family: 'Courier New'; font-size: 16px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">There are thousands of words in the english language. There are words that are spoken daily as well as words like “lollapalooza” that are rarely used. Then there are words that are considered “fake”. The thing is, who's to decide what's "fake" or not? <u>Especially since English was built on "fake" words.</u></span></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="font-weight: bold; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-align: left; text-indent: 36pt;">
<span style="background-color: transparent; font-family: 'Courier New'; font-size: 16px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><br /></span></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-align: left; text-indent: 36pt;">
<span style="background-color: transparent; font-family: 'Courier New'; font-size: 16px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><b>Warning: Nerdy Short History ahead!</b></span></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="font-weight: bold; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-align: left; text-indent: 36pt;">
<span style="background-color: transparent; font-family: 'Courier New'; font-size: 16px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><br /></span></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-align: left; text-indent: 36pt;">
<span style="background-color: transparent; font-family: 'Courier New'; font-size: 16px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">The English Language was born in war. In the 5th century A.D. there were several clans which frequently invaded each other’s lands, mixing their cultures and languages. The Germanic languages of these tribes spoke slowly merged to form what is known as “Old English”. Later Latin was introduced through the church. French vocabulary and grammar were added into the mix due to more invasion, this time from Normandy. With so many people from different backgrounds and heritages coming together, people started creating new forms of communication. Eventually, what started out as made up words steadily became the everyday language.</span></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="font-weight: bold; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-align: left; text-indent: 36pt;">
<span style="background-color: transparent; font-family: 'Courier New'; font-size: 16px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><br /></span></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-align: left; text-indent: 36pt;">
<span style="background-color: transparent; font-family: 'Courier New'; font-size: 16px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">The English Language didn’t stop evolving with end of the invasions. One of the most famous and prolific creators of fake words is none other than the playwright, William Shakespeare. <b>Shakespeare is credited with having invented 1,700 words. </b></span></div>

Samuel Johnson in 1755 later came out with a new dictionary that defined 40,000 “hard words”. One of the main reasons dictionaries were created was to keep the English language from becoming corrupted. Yet there were mistakes made by those who wrote and formed the dictionary volumes, accidentally creating ghost words. Ghost words are “words that are never actually used as words, but somehow end up making it into other dictionaries” </span><i>(watch HaleyGHoover's video "English ROCKS." on youtube).</i></span></b></div>

<b id="internal-source-marker_0.7551833929028362" style="font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: 'Courier New'; font-size: 16px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Unlike most shopaholics, I’ve always been thrifty. My family’s never had a lot of money to spend around, but that never stopped us from having fun. We found plenty of ways to have a good time with our low budget. So I was able to do the same thing when it came to shopping. Thrift stores became my life.</span></b></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-indent: 36pt;">
<b id="internal-source-marker_0.7551833929028362" style="font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: 'Courier New'; font-size: 16px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><br /></span></b></div>

For me, it’s always been about the style and the look. Who cares who wore it before, just so long as it looks great on you. I also like to think of it as a passing on of the torch. Who ever owned this red polka dotted dress before me had great taste and style, and now, so do I. </span></b></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-indent: 36pt;">
<b id="internal-source-marker_0.7551833929028362" style="font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: 'Courier New'; font-size: 16px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><br /></span></b></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-indent: 36pt;">
<b id="internal-source-marker_0.7551833929028362" style="font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: 'Courier New'; font-size: 16px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Another reason people won’t often shop at Thrift stores is because there’s never a guarantee you’ll find what you’re looking for. This happens to be one of my favorite things about Thrift stores. There are times that I won’t find anything and all I can do is go home disappointed. Then there are those times when every other item on the clothing rack is just what I need! I love how it comes as a total surprise! It makes shopping so much more exciting! </span></b></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-indent: 36pt;">
<b id="internal-source-marker_0.7551833929028362" style="font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: 'Courier New'; font-size: 16px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><br /></span></b></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-indent: 36pt;">

Most people hate that you can’t just walk into a thrift store and find something perfect right away. For me, it’s like a scavenger hunt! The only requirement I usually have when I walk into a store is that it be something unique. I don’t want to try on a skirt that comes in different sizes for every other girl out there. I want something that fits me and me only. Not just in size, but in style as well. So searching endlessly through the mixed bag you get at thrift stores is totally worth it for me!</span></b></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-indent: 36pt;">
<b id="internal-source-marker_0.7551833929028362" style="font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: 'Courier New'; font-size: 16px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><br /></span></b></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-indent: 36pt;">

My friends will go shopping with me and point out clothes and say: “oooh Miranda! This is soooo YOU!” Usually they’re wrong. Really wrong. To clarify I guess I should say that it has to be unique and very. . . me! Which can actually make it even more confusing.</span></b></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-indent: 36pt;">
<b id="internal-source-marker_0.7551833929028362" style="font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: 'Courier New'; font-size: 16px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><br /></span></b></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-indent: 36pt;">
<b id="internal-source-marker_0.7551833929028362" style="font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: 'Courier New'; font-size: 16px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">I can’t really put a finger on exactly what it is I like (and this goes for more than just clothes, like music and movies etc.) I never know if I’m going to like something till I just do. Most people have a genre of music, a type of movie, a style of writing, or a line of clothing that seems to have been made just for them. That just isn’t me though.</span></b></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-indent: 36pt;">
<b id="internal-source-marker_0.7551833929028362" style="font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: 'Courier New'; font-size: 16px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><br /></span></b></div>

They’re filled with so many different clothes from different people and different eras. I love that I can find the perfect everything and anything there. One minute I’m </span><span style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: 'Courier New'; font-size: 15px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Joan Jett </span><span style="font-family: 'Courier New'; font-size: 16px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">, the next I’m Molly Ringwald, Jacqueline Kennedy, or Katharine Hepburn. <div dir="ltr" style="margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-indent: 36pt;">
<b id="internal-source-marker_0.8458979602437466" style="font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: Arial;"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;"><br /></span></span></b></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-indent: 36pt;">
<b id="internal-source-marker_0.8458979602437466" style="font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 16px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">It still hasn’t really hit me yet. I don’t feel old enough to graduate! I really do feel the same as I did freshman year, and the only real improvement I’ve made is that I’ve had my braces removed since then. And yet I did walk down the aisle as the band played </span><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 16px; font-style: italic; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Pomp and Circumstance</span><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 16px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"> and I did throw my mortar board along with the rest of the class of 2012. </span></b></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-indent: 36pt;">
<b id="internal-source-marker_0.8458979602437466" style="font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 16px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Graduation is particularly a funny thing if you’re a mormon. In our church we have the Young Women Program for girls from the ages of 12 until they graduate. Once you graduate high school, you kind of graduate from Young Womens. The funny thing about it is that the next step from there is the Single Adults group. </span></b></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-indent: 36pt;">
<b id="internal-source-marker_0.8458979602437466" style="font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 16px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">I remember my friend Becca commenting that “single adult” sounds like a term you would give to an older person who is desperately in want of a husband. And that is pretty much exactly how it is! One minute I was a young woman, learning to grow and develop, and the next minute I was thrown into the world of “what are you doing with your life? when are you going to get a job? get a boyfriend? get married?”. To be honest, I’m kind of exaggerating. Sort of. </span></b></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-indent: 36pt;">
<b id="internal-source-marker_0.8458979602437466" style="font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 16px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">It is true that marriage and families are extremely important to the my religion, which is fine by me since those are things I personally want. Yet, without really meaning to, it does put a bit of pressure on us “single adults” of the mormon culture. Suddenly every church activity might be where you meet “the one” and every boy you meet just might be that “one” and eternal companion. </span></b></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-indent: 36pt;">
<b id="internal-source-marker_0.8458979602437466" style="font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 16px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Knowing all this to be ridiculous, and yet feeling like it was true with every fiber of my being, I was still really nervous about my first Single Adults’ activity. It was just a simple little picnic dinner in the park on Memorial Day where we could mix and mingle, but I still spent an hour picking out my outfit. What if my one day future husband was there? I didn’t want him to see me for the first time looking like the princess of drab! </span></b></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-indent: 36pt;">
<b id="internal-source-marker_0.8458979602437466" style="font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 16px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Finally I picked out a skirt and black top, a mix of casual and classy, and set out with some gal pals to the picnic. The other funny thing about Single Adult groups is that the ages range from “I just graduated high school” to “I’m about to get my PHD and start my life career”. So when I first arrived all I could see was how much more facial hair and muscle all the guys had compared to the boys I was used to seeing. I felt like 5 year old trying to play grown up. </span></b></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-indent: 36pt;">
<b id="internal-source-marker_0.8458979602437466" style="font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 16px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Luckily my bestie Jessica came and pulled me out of my awkward shell. </span></b></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-indent: 36pt;">
<b id="internal-source-marker_0.8458979602437466" style="font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 16px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">“Miranda, let’s make it a goal to meet as many people as we can tonight,” she said as we passed by three guys talking together. She immediately turned to me and half whispered, “what about them?”</span></b></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-indent: 36pt;">
<b id="internal-source-marker_0.8458979602437466" style="font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 16px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">“I don’t know. They’re too attractive,” I said hesitantly. As mean as it makes me for saying it, it’s definitely easier to talk to boys who weren’t . . .as physically blessed. Pretty boys in general make me feel inferior. </span></b></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-indent: 36pt;">
<b id="internal-source-marker_0.8458979602437466" style="font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 16px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">“They didn’t seem THAT cute,” she insisted. As I looked at her and how confident she was, I knew that that was what I wanted and decided to go for it.</span></b></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-indent: 36pt;">
<b id="internal-source-marker_0.8458979602437466" style="font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 16px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">“If you walk up to them I’ll follow,” I told her. So she did, and was right there along with her, talking to these three guys I’d never met before. </span></b></div>
<b id="internal-source-marker_0.8458979602437466" style="font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 16px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space: pre;"> </span>It turned out that we happened to be extremely lucky on the first shot! All three of them were nice guys and were easy to talk to. Though they were all awesome, there was one in particular that I liked talking to, and even better than that, he actually seemed to like talking to me. Rather having me ask all the questions he actually asked about my life and seemed genuinely interested in what I said. What girl doesn’t love it when that actually happens? It also didn’t hurt that he had the most adorable freckled face. </span><br /><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 16px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space: pre;"> </span>I found out he had recently gotten back from his mission - a religious calling that lasts two years - in England, which gave us something to talk about. I asked him what he liked about Europe and shared that I’d lived in France for a year. It was nice how easy it was to chat with him, and i don’t mean to sound creepy or anything, but he had a great smile. </span><br /><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 16px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space: pre;"> </span>Later, after having been pulled away from them, Jessie pointed out what a cute couple we’d be! So naturally I spent the rest of the night thinking about him and wishing I’d gotten his number. I was still thinking about it as I drove back with my friend Caroline.</span><br /><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 16px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space: pre;"> </span>“Maybe I’ll meet him at another thing and I’ll get his number then,” I remarked.</span><br /><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 16px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space: pre;"> </span>“Maybe,” she said.</span><br /><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 16px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space: pre;"> </span>“Do you think I’m too young for him?” I asked, which was weird for me since I’m usually worried about looking too much older than I am.</span><br /><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 16px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space: pre;"> </span>“No, this is the time to get married Miranda, you won’t be like this forever. Soon we’ll be too old and who will want marry us then?” she joked, laughing, “And, actually, this could be the perfect time. ‘Cause return missionaries feel pressure to get married when they first come back.”</span><br /><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 16px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space: pre;"> </span>“Well, I’ll get his number next time,” I laughed, “that is, if he isn’t already engaged by then. You never know with mormons.” </span><br /><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 16px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space: pre;"> </span></span></b><br />
*sigh* . . . it's amazing how fast I've grown up<br />

This is the skirt that I created from the LARGE mens polo shirt! I think it turned out pretty good, but I still am working on improving it before I make some sort of tutorial! Not that it's all that difficult to figure out!<br />
<br />
Well I hope to get it out soon!<br />

<br />
Here are the two old pieces that I altered:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-sRREcl5FrAw/T3pOcaO-9PI/AAAAAAAAAD0/N61KingJgUE/s1600/DSC_0021.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-k-E2xQeBOXo/T3pSdIJ3EUI/AAAAAAAAAD8/vkqRc2i-2Tk/s1600/DSC_0025.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-k-E2xQeBOXo/T3pSdIJ3EUI/AAAAAAAAAD8/vkqRc2i-2Tk/s320/DSC_0025.jpg" width="212" /> </a> </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-sRREcl5FrAw/T3pOcaO-9PI/AAAAAAAAAD0/N61KingJgUE/s1600/DSC_0021.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-sRREcl5FrAw/T3pOcaO-9PI/AAAAAAAAAD0/N61KingJgUE/s320/DSC_0021.jpg" width="212" /></a></div>1.) i first cut off the sleeves of the shirt as close to the lining as possible:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-HS4Sfy1Vjk0/T3pU5C7It0I/AAAAAAAAAEE/AKSjncDxtD8/s1600/DSC_0028.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="212" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-HS4Sfy1Vjk0/T3pU5C7It0I/AAAAAAAAAEE/AKSjncDxtD8/s320/DSC_0028.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
2.) Then i measured the length of the cut in the sleeves. I then folded my skirt and cut diagonally the pieces that will be the sleeves (i cut them two to three inches longer than the original cut).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-YZbpAzNjWOY/T3pWfifpPuI/AAAAAAAAAEU/R6ZjPaYaGo4/s1600/DSCN0435.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-YZbpAzNjWOY/T3pWfifpPuI/AAAAAAAAAEU/R6ZjPaYaGo4/s320/DSCN0435.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
3.) Then i pinned where i won't the sleeves to be sewn and sewed them as close to the edge as possible.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-cQqBvM-wNzc/T3pYFZyVVXI/AAAAAAAAAEc/HC8nGpMWeYs/s1600/DSCN0438.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-cQqBvM-wNzc/T3pYFZyVVXI/AAAAAAAAAEc/HC8nGpMWeYs/s320/DSCN0438.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<br />
4.) And. . . . Voila! The finished look! Note that i did add a little material to the pocket to give that extra kick and flare!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

There will come a time when I will update my blog at least. . . TWICE or. . . THREE times a week! It's gonna happen, just you wait and see!<br />
<br />
Anywho, I thought I'd share my other New Year's Resolutions (even if it is already have through January already)! My philosophy is that it's NEVER too late to start setting and working on goals!<br />
<br />

I know I haven't been consistent with this whole blogging thing, but hey! I'll get used to it!<br />
<br />
I don't know about the rest of the world, but for me this week has been my first week back after winter break. Since it's the start of a new and sure to be glorious year, I've decided to try to be a better me! For example I made sure i dressed up and felt cute every day this week (rather than giving up and wearing something plain and sloppy like i sometimes do).<br />
<br />
Here they are:<br />
<br />
Monday (no school!):<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lxekb6Ruuw1r5pel2.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lxekb6Ruuw1r5pel2.gif" /></a></div><br />
Tuesday (first day back, kept it cute and simple):<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-n1hTXjPW0NQ/TwkbEYPesHI/AAAAAAAAAC8/LOwMKNz8XKo/s1600/DSC_0535.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-n1hTXjPW0NQ/TwkbEYPesHI/AAAAAAAAAC8/LOwMKNz8XKo/s320/DSC_0535.jpg" width="212" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Wednesday (bold + funky + bright + fun)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-EeXmhCiPwe0/TwkbNaD2iaI/AAAAAAAAADE/_L4EdDVGjO4/s1600/DSC_0538.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-EeXmhCiPwe0/TwkbNaD2iaI/AAAAAAAAADE/_L4EdDVGjO4/s320/DSC_0538.jpg" width="212" /></a></div><br />
Thursday (I love crazy prints!)<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Fo8yBa9OLtk/TwkbdiMVoVI/AAAAAAAAADU/DGrHnGTpaww/s1600/DSC_0548.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Fo8yBa9OLtk/TwkbdiMVoVI/AAAAAAAAADU/DGrHnGTpaww/s320/DSC_0548.jpg" width="212" /></a></div>Friday (kept it fun and went a bit more summer-ish):<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-DYp3jGdGMHQ/TwkbV2wEvrI/AAAAAAAAADM/M-zrdEqeE80/s1600/DSC_0543.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-DYp3jGdGMHQ/TwkbV2wEvrI/AAAAAAAAADM/M-zrdEqeE80/s320/DSC_0543.jpg" width="212" /></a></div><br />
It was a pretty fun week! Even if i did fall asleep in pretty much every single one of my classes ^_^<br />
(oops!) But anywho, i have a good feeling about this year! 2012 is gonna be B-AWESOME*!!<br />
<br />
LOVELY! <br />
<br />
P.s. I will be post my New Years Resolutions soon! <br />

It's ridiculous! *</div><div style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><br />
</div><div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">The funny thing is that a lot of people haven't noticed right away! I walked up to my friends and they were all like “oh like what you did to your hair” and I was like “thanks!” and then one of them looked at me suddenly and was all: “WAIT! DID YOU CUT IT?” and I wanted to be all sarcastic and be like “NOOOOooooo! I just died the tips invisible!” but instead said yeah. Then they flipped. </div><div style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><br />
</div><div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">It was especially fun since I hadn't warned any of them about it. A lot of them couldn't believe I had the guts to just go for it, and a lot of others gushed and said they thought it was “adorable”. ADORABLE being the key word here! </div><div style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><br />
</div>This is key since, as I said in my last post, I couldn't even pass for a high school student and I AM a high school student! But apparently I look a bit younger with this hair cut which is funny (usually people look older). So, WOO HOO FOR ME! I can't tell you how sick I am of being mistaken for a parent rather than a kid! <br />
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><br />
</div><div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">So THAT, my friends, is what this whole post it about today! Doing something that is “Yea Me!” worthy! I went a bit crazy and cut off a pound of hair, but you? YOU can do something crazy for YOU! Maybe it's time to finally wear out that shirt you love but aren't sure you can pull off! Or perhaps you can break out that dress during the week rather than waiting for Sunday church or the next dance to wear it out! Today could be the day to go out and show people a different side of you! </div><div style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><br />
</div><div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">You GO Glen CoCo! You can do it! Just go for it! </div><div style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><br />
</div><div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">Maybe you won't love it, maybe it'll be a flop, or maybe it'll only convince you that you should never do it again but HEY! You can at least say you tried it out! I honestly make a million mistakes (both in fashion and in life in general), but it's okay 'cause now I know! Trust me when I tell you that it is so totally worth it! </div><div style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><br />
</div><div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">Good Luck to All! </div><div style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><br />
</div><div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">BIG BEAR HUGS AND CUDDLY ESKIMO KISSES Y'ALL! <3</div><div style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><br />

The Places You Will Go!I am a firm believer in dressing up! Not only is dressing up absolutely great to do for Funzies, but it also gets you places. The way you dress can get you in a certain place, get you to talk to certain people, and can definitely make you feel a certain way. Everyone is different of course, so it only makes sense that everyone dresses up differently! THIS is how I dress:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-tl3V_z_8_ok/Tq2BGr8rciI/AAAAAAAAABk/0mNPGQTlESY/s1600/DSC_0024.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-tl3V_z_8_ok/Tq2BGr8rciI/AAAAAAAAABk/0mNPGQTlESY/s320/DSC_0024.jpg" width="212" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div>* Warning: This is one of my "mild" outfits! If you plan to fallow me any farther expect to be lead to Funky Town and please. . . keep your hands, arms, feet, and legs inside at all times. Thank you and enjoy the ride!<br />
<br />
And, yes. Dressing differently does get you in some . . . interesting places. I will get some of the most out of the blue people talking to me! I oft receive some of the most interesting comments (which I always try to take as compliments) on my outfits! The only down side I've yet to find about dressing the way I do is that it doesn't really get me a whole lot dates.<br />
<br />
Which is understandable. . . Guys don't really wanna line up to hold hands with someone who dresses how their mom, gran-gran, or great- gran dressed back in their hay-day! No worries though! Since I'm only in High School I'm not exactly looking for a soul mate yet. For now I'm happy to wait for my Prince Charming to come sweep me off my vintage leather mens' shoes.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Being a high-schooler is another reason why people tend to look at my outfits differently. I naturally already look kinda older than I am (which, not gonna lie, kinda gets me down), but then on top of it I don't dress a whole ton like high-schoolers do! I've been stopped by security guards at my school and asked why I was coming on campus . . . then given a shocked look when I tell the "I GO here"!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div>Once, while at a movie theatre, I took my little brother and sister into line to get popcorn while my mom was buying tickets and we were behind this old couple. I was standing there holding their hands, trying to get them to calm down, when the lady suddenly turned around. She smiled and said "I just wanted to tell you that you have such beautiful children". . . while I gotta admit I was happy she thought they were pretty children (just as I do), I was also pretty displeased with the fact that she thought they were mine! <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-XHwpkRe-V4U/Tq2Pi-O9sBI/AAAAAAAAAB8/D_Zc574PqTE/s1600/DSCN1414.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-XHwpkRe-V4U/Tq2Pi-O9sBI/AAAAAAAAAB8/D_Zc574PqTE/s320/DSCN1414.JPG" width="320" /></a></div> I would have had to have been 6 when I had this handsome boy!<br />
<br />
<br />
But, despite what people think or how they feel about how I dress, I really like it! I have an absolute blast doing it! So, that's what this blog is going to be basically! Me sharing my passions and craziness! Spreading the joy of loving yourself and what your in!<br />

This is the start of my first ever BLOG!!!<br />
<br />
I thought it'd be best if I introduced myself a little bit first and explained what I plan to have my whole blog be about.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3iSzY1e4K1U/ToiBvlYcCSI/AAAAAAAAABE/ZP08UTx-qH8/s1600/IMG_2079.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3iSzY1e4K1U/ToiBvlYcCSI/AAAAAAAAABE/ZP08UTx-qH8/s320/IMG_2079.jpg" width="240" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div> (one of those "oh yeah i'm so cool" pics) <br />
<br />
I am your average American high school student and Wilderness Explorer!<br />
(the world must be explored! caw caw, Rawr!)<br />
<br />
This is going to be my little FASHION BLOG, and I plan to have nothing but pure (clean and modest) fun with it! If you enjoy fashion I hope you enjoy! If fashion blog interests you as much as a watching-paint-dry blog, then HAVE NO FEAR OTHER THINGS ARE HERE!!! I'm way to easily distracted and all over the place to ever keep this blog to specifically one subject, so expect the unexpected when you seen it ;)<br />
<br />
I have a plethora of hobbies and interest, including (but not limited to):<br />
- fashion<br />
- painting<br />
- cooking<br />
- craft. . .ing<br />
- and just about anything else!<br />
<br />
I really like to try new things which is why I'm starting this blog! It's just going to be me doing what I love and trying out the new and exciting!<br />
<br />
I hope you enjoy the watching the craziness as much as I enjoy creating it!<br />
<br />
Loverly!Unknownhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07993604937065783541noreply@blogger.com0
