" You Go Glen Coco! "

Can anyone name that movie? It's MEAN GIRLS! (easily one of the most quotable movies ever!)

Well, any who, I've been thinking about doing something new. . . something different and extreme for me. The most obvious thing for me do was to get my hair cut! I am. . . uh, i mean,  WAS obsessed with my hair – to the point where I wouldn't let people even style it! And so. . . I CUT IT ALL OFF!

Okay, okay! Not literally. But dang is it pretty short!

I like it! I wasn't sure I would, but I've decided that I really do! It's kinda classy looking I think. Though I will admit: I will be NOT wearing any T-shirts and jeans with this hair style! Trust me, I totally look like one of those classic Chunky-Boy-Curly-Heads that seem to be in every little boy gang movie:

* Okay, so i was trying to dress like a little chubby boy (Chuckie Finster) at the time but still! It's ridiculous!  *

The funny thing is that a lot of people haven't noticed right away! I walked up to my friends and they were all like “oh like what you did to your hair” and I was like “thanks!” and then one of them looked at me suddenly and was all: “WAIT! DID YOU CUT IT?” and I wanted to be all sarcastic and be like “NOOOOooooo! I just died the tips invisible!” but instead said yeah. Then they flipped.

It was especially fun since I hadn't warned any of them about it. A lot of them couldn't believe I had the guts to just go for it, and a lot of others gushed and said they thought it was “adorable”. ADORABLE being the key word here!

This is key since, as I said in my last post, I couldn't even pass for a high school student and I AM a high school student! But apparently I look a bit younger with this hair cut which is funny (usually people look older). So, WOO HOO FOR ME! I can't tell you how sick I am of being mistaken for a parent rather than a kid!

So THAT, my friends, is what this whole post it about today! Doing something that is “Yea Me!” worthy! I went a bit crazy and cut off a pound of hair, but you? YOU can do something crazy for YOU! Maybe it's time to finally wear out that shirt you love but aren't sure you can pull off! Or perhaps you can break out that dress during the week rather than waiting for Sunday church or the next dance to wear it out! Today could be the day to go out and show people a different side of you!

You GO Glen CoCo! You can do it! Just go for it!

Maybe you won't love it, maybe it'll be a flop, or maybe it'll only convince you that you should never do it again but HEY! You can at least say you tried it out! I honestly make a million mistakes (both in fashion and in life in general), but it's okay 'cause now I know! Trust me when I tell you that it is so totally worth it!

Good Luck to All!

Oh! The Places You Will Go!

I am a firm believer in dressing up! Not only is dressing up absolutely great to do for Funzies, but it also gets you places. The way you dress can get you in a certain place, get you to talk to certain people, and can definitely make you feel a certain way. Everyone is different of course, so it only makes sense that everyone dresses up differently! THIS is how I dress:
* Warning: This is one of my "mild" outfits! If you plan to fallow me any farther expect to be lead to Funky Town and please. . . keep your hands, arms, feet, and legs inside at all times. Thank you and enjoy the ride!

And, yes. Dressing differently does get you in some . . . interesting places. I will get some of the most out of the blue people talking to me! I oft receive some of the most interesting comments (which I always try to take as compliments) on my outfits! The only down side I've yet to find about dressing the way I do is that it doesn't really get me a whole lot dates.

Which is understandable. . . Guys don't really wanna line up to hold hands with someone who dresses how their mom, gran-gran, or great- gran dressed back in their hay-day!  No worries though! Since I'm only in High School I'm not exactly looking for a soul mate yet. For now I'm happy to wait for my Prince Charming to come sweep me off my vintage leather mens' shoes.

Being a high-schooler is another reason why people tend to look at my outfits differently. I naturally already look kinda older than I am (which, not gonna lie, kinda gets me down), but then on top of it I don't dress a whole ton like high-schoolers do! I've been stopped by security guards at my school and asked why I was coming on campus . . . then given a shocked look when I tell the "I GO here"!

Once, while at a movie theatre, I took my little brother and sister into line to get popcorn while my mom was buying tickets and we were behind this old couple. I was standing there holding their hands, trying to get them to calm down, when the lady suddenly turned around. She smiled and said "I just wanted to tell you that you have such beautiful children". . . while I gotta admit I was happy she thought they were pretty children (just as I do), I was also pretty displeased with the fact that she thought they were mine!

I would have had to have been 6 when I had this handsome boy!

But, despite what people think or how they feel about how I dress, I really like it! I have an absolute blast doing it! So, that's what this blog is going to be basically! Me sharing my passions and craziness! Spreading the joy of loving yourself and what your in!

Hello, My Name is:

Hello There! This is the start of my first ever BLOG!!!

I thought it'd be best if I introduced myself a little bit first and explained what I plan to have my whole blog be about.

(one of those "oh yeah i'm so cool" pics)

I am your average American high school student and Wilderness Explorer!
(the world must be explored! caw caw, Rawr!)

This is going to be my little FASHION BLOG, and I plan to have nothing but pure (clean and modest) fun with it!  If you enjoy fashion I hope you enjoy! If fashion blog interests you as much as a watching-paint-dry blog, then HAVE NO FEAR OTHER THINGS ARE HERE!!! I'm way to easily distracted and all over the place to ever keep this blog to specifically one subject, so expect the unexpected when you seen it ;)

I have a plethora of hobbies and interest, including (but not limited to):
- fashion
- painting
- cooking
- craft. . .ing
 - and just about anything else!

I really like to try new things which is why I'm starting this blog! It's just going to be me doing what I love and trying out the new and exciting!

I hope you enjoy the watching the craziness as much as I enjoy creating it!

Loverly!
